Privacy and Data

The calculators run in your browser, the numbers you type are never sent to a server, and we keep only aggregate traffic counts.

Calculators and your numbers

The calculators run in your browser, and the numbers you enter, such as lot size, entry price or margin, are never sent to a server. They are computed on your device and disappear when you close the page.

That means we never see your position size, your account balance or your stop level. There is no account on this site, no login and no profile, so there is nothing for us to store about your trading.

Traffic counts and local storage

We keep only aggregate traffic counts, such as how many times a page was opened, and we do not build a profile of individual readers. There is no advertising network on this site tracking you across other pages.

Local storage in your browser holds your own preferences, such as a currency or display choice, so the page behaves the same next time. That storage sits on your device and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

The third parties that can see a request from this site

Three kinds of third parties can receive data when you use this site: our web host, our analytics provider, and FxPro or its affiliate network when you click a broker link. The web host sees the request needed to serve the page, including an approximate location derived from your connection. The analytics provider sees page views only if you accept analytics, and it does not receive calculator inputs. FxPro sees a request only after you click a link, and from that point the broker's own privacy policy applies. No other third party is given access to site data.

Our web host and analytics provider are bound by contracts that limit them to processing data for the purposes described here. They do not receive your name, your naira amounts, or any calculator figure. The analytics provider is not permitted to build advertising profiles from this site's traffic. FxPro is a separate business regulated by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA, and its data handling is governed by its own policy, not this one. Because FxPro Markets Direct Costa Rica Latam SRL serves Nigeria, the entity you deal with may sit outside Nigeria, so read its policy before opening an account.

We do not sell data to data brokers, advertising networks, or list sellers. We do not embed social media pixels, retargeting tags, or session-recording scripts. The only script that runs from a third party is the analytics script, and it runs only after consent. If you block it, the only third party that still sees a request is the web host that delivers the page. This is deliberately narrower than a typical finance site, because a calculator page does not need a wide data footprint to be useful.

Affiliate links pay us and never change the numbers you see

Some links to FxPro on this site are affiliate links, which means FxPro may pay us a referral fee if you open an account after clicking. That payment does not change the reference price, the pip value, the lot size, or the margin example shown in the calculators. The gold reference price of 4275.0 and the 0.10-lot margin example of about $85.50 are fixed inputs, not offers. We do not accept payment to alter a calculator result, and we do not rank brokers by how much they pay. The affiliate relationship is disclosed here so you can weigh it.

The affiliate link itself does not send your calculator numbers to FxPro. It sends the broker a referral identifier and the usual browser request data, which is described in the next section. We do not pass your naira amounts, your position size, or your margin figure to any affiliate network. If you never click a broker link, no affiliate cookie is set and no referral fee is generated. The presence of an affiliate link is not a recommendation to trade, and gold trading carries a high risk of loss regardless of who referred you.

We state the affiliate relationship plainly because hiding it would undermine the point of this page. You will see the same calculators, the same worked margin example, and the same risk warnings whether you click a broker link or not. The site does not run paid placements disguised as reviews, and no broker pays to have its name appear in a calculator result. If a future arrangement ever changed what appears on the page, it would be disclosed in the change notice described at the end of this policy. For now, treat every broker link as a commercial link and verify the broker on the SEC Nigeria register.

Broker cookies are the broker's

A broker sets its own cookies under its own policy. When you follow an affiliate link to a broker, you leave this site and the broker's cookie and privacy rules apply from that point, not ours.

Read the broker's privacy and cookie documents before you open an account, because that is where your identity documents and funding details will be held. We do not receive those documents and cannot see your account.

What we store on this site and what we never touch

We store only what keeps the page working: your chosen currency display, the last calculator you opened, and a cookie flag for whether you have accepted analytics. We do not store your name, email, phone number, bank account details, card number, or any naira amount you type into a calculator. Nothing typed into the gold position size or margin fields is saved to our server or attached to a profile. The site has no login, no account area, and no user database, so there is no personal file to leak or sell.

We never store your broker account number, your trading history, your deposit method, or your identity documents. If you follow a link to FxPro, any information you enter there goes to FxPro, not to us. We also do not store the contents of the calculators after you close the tab or refresh the page. The only persistent items are the small preferences listed above and the analytics cookie you can refuse. This means the site holds no record that could be used to identify you as a trader or connect you to a specific naira bank transfer.

The site does store anonymous technical data such as the page you requested and the approximate country your connection comes from, but it does not store your IP address in full. That technical log is used to fix broken pages and is not combined with any calculator input. Because Nigeria's SEC Nigeria rules on capital market operators do not apply to a plain information site, we keep the data set deliberately small so there is nothing sensitive to protect. If you never accept analytics, the only stored items are the currency display and the calculator convenience flag.

The four cookie types this page uses and what each one does

This site uses four kinds of cookies: a necessary preference cookie, an analytics cookie, a broker-referral cookie set only after you click a broker link, and a consent cookie that records your analytics choice. The preference cookie remembers your currency display so naira amounts stay in naira when you return. The consent cookie stores a simple yes or no for analytics and expires after twelve months. Neither cookie contains your name, your calculator numbers, or any trading information. The analytics cookie is the only one that reports page views, and it is switched off until you accept it.

The broker-referral cookie is set by FxPro or its affiliate network when you follow a link from this site, not by us. It exists so the broker can credit the referral if you later open an account. That cookie belongs to the broker, follows the broker's own duration and rules, and is outside our control. The analytics cookie counts visits and tells us which pages are read, but it does not record the numbers you type into the gold calculator. The necessary preference cookie does not track you across other sites and is not shared with anyone.

You can delete or block any of these cookies in your browser settings without losing access to the calculators. Blocking the preference cookie means the site forgets your currency display and you may need to reselect naira. Blocking the analytics cookie is the same as refusing analytics and has no effect on the tools. Blocking the broker-referral cookie does not stop you from reaching FxPro, but it may mean the broker does not recognise the referral. The consent cookie is the only one we ask you to set explicitly, and it can be changed by clearing site data.

Your rights over site data and the exact steps to use them

You have the right to ask what data this site holds about you, to have it deleted, to refuse analytics, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because the site stores almost nothing, a request will usually return only the preference and consent cookies already on your browser. To refuse analytics, use the consent banner or clear site data in your browser. To ask what is held, contact us through the address on the contact page and state the request plainly. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and will not charge a fee for a reasonable request.

To exercise deletion, clear cookies and local storage for this site in your browser settings; that removes the preference and consent records immediately. If you have already accepted analytics and want the prior page views removed from the analytics provider, say so in your request and we will forward it. You cannot ask us to delete data held by FxPro, because that data is under the broker's control and must be requested from FxPro directly. For any matter involving a broker, the SEC Nigeria register of capital market operators is the place to confirm the firm you are dealing with.

You also have the right to complain to the relevant data protection authority if you believe a request was handled badly. We will not treat a refusal of analytics as a reason to block the calculators, and we will not require you to accept tracking to read the page. If you are in Nigeria and the issue concerns a broker rather than this site, the SEC Nigeria is the local authority to approach, not us. These rights apply to the small data set described on this page and do not extend to records held by FxPro or any other broker.

How long each item is kept and what removes it

The currency preference cookie is kept for up to twelve months and is removed when it expires or when you clear site data. The consent cookie is also kept for up to twelve months and is replaced when you change your choice. The calculator convenience flag lasts only for the browser session and disappears when you close the tab. Analytics page-view records are kept by the analytics provider for the period stated in its own policy, and we do not set that period ourselves. No item is kept indefinitely, and none is archived into a customer profile.

The broker-referral cookie is set by FxPro or its affiliate network and is kept for the duration that broker chooses; we cannot delete it from your browser, but you can remove it by clearing cookies. Technical request logs at the web host are kept only as long as needed to diagnose faults and are then discarded on the host's normal schedule. We do not keep a separate copy of those logs. If you refuse analytics, no analytics record is created, so there is nothing to expire.

Deletion happens in three ways: expiry of the cookie, clearing site data in your browser, or a request to us that we forward where we can. Clearing site data is the fastest method and removes the preference and consent records at once. A request to us cannot remove a broker cookie, because that cookie sits under the broker's domain. The practical rule is that this site keeps almost nothing for long, and the items with the longest life are the two cookies you can delete yourself in seconds.

FAQ

Common questions

What information does the site collect when I visit?

The site collects the technical data your browser sends, such as pages viewed and approximate location, and any details you choose to type into the contact form. It does not ask for your broker login, card number or bank details, and you should never send those through the contact page or by email.

Do you store my naira bank transfer details?

No. Oyo Options does not process funding, so it never receives your naira bank transfer details, card number or wallet address. If you fund a broker, that transaction happens on the broker's own systems and is covered by the broker's privacy terms, not this site's.

Are cookies used on the site?

The site may use cookies or similar storage for basic functions such as remembering preferences and measuring which pages are read. Where a cookie is used for measurement or referral tracking, it is described in the privacy page. You can block cookies in your browser, though some features may stop working.

Will you sell my email address?

No. An email address you send through the contact form is used to answer your message and, where relevant, to follow up on a correction. It is not sold to brokers or added to a marketing list without your agreement. You can ask for it to be deleted once the query is closed.

Does the privacy page cover the broker I click through to?

No. Once you leave Oyo Options for a broker's site, that firm's own privacy policy applies, including how it handles identity documents and naira deposits. Read it before you fund an account. The desk cannot see or control what a broker collects, and it cannot retrieve data you gave to a broker.
